Microblading Aftercare

Immediate Aftercare (First 24 Hours)

  • Keep Dry: Avoid getting your eyebrows wet for at least the first 24 hours. This means no washing your face with water directly hitting the brows.

  • Gentle Cleansing: If necessary, gently clean the area with a damp cotton pad, using sterile water or a saline solution, but do not rub or apply pressure.

General Aftercare (First Week)

  • Avoid Makeup: Do not apply makeup directly on the brows for at least one week to avoid infection and disturbance to the healing pigments.

  • Moisturising: Apply a healing balm or ointment as recommended by your technician, usually a thin layer, to keep the area moist and promote healing.

  • No Touching: Minimise touching the brow area to prevent the spread of bacteria and irritation.

Long-Term Care

  • Sun Protection: Protect the brows from direct sunlight by wearing a hat or applying a sunscreen specifically designed for facial use (after the initial healing period). UV rays can cause the pigment to fade prematurely.

  • Avoid Excessive Moisture: Stay away from excessive sweating, saunas, and swimming pools for at least two weeks.

What to Avoid

  • No Picking or Scratching: The eyebrows will start to flake and may scab slightly; it is vital not to pick or scratch the area to allow natural healing and prevent scarring or loss of pigment.

  • Steer Clear of Skincare Products: Avoid facial peels, exfoliants, or any aggressive skincare products around the brow area for at least two weeks.

Monitoring Healing

  • Normal Signs of Healing: It’s normal to experience mild swelling, itching, and redness around the area for a few days. These symptoms should diminish progressively.

Touch-Ups

  • Follow-Up Appointment: A follow-up appointment is usually necessary 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment to fill in any gaps where the pigment hasn't taken or to make minor corrections to the shape and colour.

By adhering to these aftercare instructions, you can help ensure your micro bladed eyebrows heal beautifully and maintain their appearance for as long as possible. Always follow the specific guidance given by your technician, as individual advice may vary. If you notice any signs of infection or if anything seems out of the ordinary, consult with your technician or seek medical advice.

Machine brows Aftercare

Immediate Aftercare (First 24-48 Hrs)

  • Keep Dry: Avoid getting your brows wet during the first 48 hours post-procedure. This includes sweat, so refrain from heavy workouts.

  • Avoid Touching: Keep your hands away from the treated area to prevent infection and irritation.

General Aftercare (First Week)

  • Gentle Cleansing: After the first 48 hours, gently cleanse the area each morning and night with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry gently with a clean tissue.

  • Moisturising: Apply a thin layer of the aftercare ointment provided by your technician, usually 2-3 times a day. This helps keep the area hydrated and promotes healing, but do not over-moisturize.

Long-Term Care

  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect the brows from direct sunlight by wearing a hat or applying a zinc oxide-based sunscreen. UV rays can cause the pigment to fade and alter in colour.

  • No Makeup: Avoid applying makeup directly on the brows for at least two weeks to prevent infections and disturbances to the pigment.

What to Avoid

  • No Picking or Scrubbing: As the area heals, it may flake and itch. Avoid picking at the scabs or scratching the area to ensure the pigment sets properly and to prevent scarring.

  • Avoid Certain Skincare Products: Steer clear of products containing acids, retinoids, or exfoliants around the brow area as these can cause the pigment to fade prematurely.

Monitoring Healing

  • Normal Healing Signs: It is normal to experience slight redness, swelling, and sensitivity around the area. These should decrease within a few days post-treatment.

Follow-Up and Touch-Ups

  • Scheduling Follow-Up: A follow-up appointment is typically recommended 4-6 weeks after the initial session. This allows your technician to fill in any areas that may have faded and to adjust the shape or colour if necessary.

Following these guidelines will help ensure that your PMU brows heal beautifully and last as long as possible. If you experience any signs of infection or abnormal healing, contact your technician or seek medical advice promptly.

Lip blush Aftercare

Immediate Aftercare (First 24 Hours)

  • Ice Application: Gently apply a cold compress to your lips intermittently for 10-15 minutes to reduce swelling. Be sure not to press too hard to avoid disrupting the pigment.

General Aftercare (First Week)

  • Keep Lips Dry: Avoid getting your lips wet for at least the first 12 hours after the procedure. After this period, gently cleanse your lips with water and pat them dry.

  • Moisturize: Apply a healing ointment provided by your technician to keep your lips moisturized. This should be done several times a day using a clean cotton swab, not your fingers.

  • Avoid Makeup: Do not apply any lip makeup until the healing process is complete to prevent infections and ensure proper pigment retention.

Long-Term Care

  • Sun Protection: Once healed, protect your lips from the sun by applying a lip balm with SPF to prevent fading and maintain the pigment's longevity.

  • Avoid Exfoliating: Do not use exfoliating products on your lips until they have fully healed, as this can cause the pigment to fade prematurely.

What to Avoid

  • No Picking or Rubbing: As your lips will peel, it’s important not to pick or pull at the flakes to avoid removing the pigment and causing uneven spots.

  • Food and Beverages: Avoid spicy and hot temperature foods and drinks for the first few days as they can irritate your treated lips.

  • Chewing: Try to limit excessive lip movement such as chewing gum until your lips are fully healed.

Monitoring Healing

  • Healing Process: Your lips may appear very bold and bright initially—this is normal. The colour will gradually fade up to 40-60% during the healing process. Swelling, tenderness, and slight bruising are normal but should subside within a week.

Follow-Up and Touch-Ups

  • Follow-Up Appointment: Typically, a follow-up appointment is scheduled about 6 to 8 weeks after the initial procedure. This allows your technician to touch up any areas that may have faded or to adjust the colour and shape if necessary.

By carefully following these aftercare instructions, you can help ensure a smooth healing process and enjoy beautiful, lasting results from your micropigmentation lip blush treatment. If you experience any signs of infection or unusual discomfort, contact your technician or seek medical attention promptly.

Immediate Aftercare (First 24-48 Hrs)

  • Ice Application: To minimise swelling, gently apply a clean, damp cloth or a cool compress to the eyelid area for a few minutes at a time. Do not apply ice directly to the skin.

  • Keep Dry: Avoid getting the eyelids wet for the first 48 hours. This includes avoiding all forms of moisture such as steam from showers and sweat.

General Aftercare (First Week)

  • Gentle Cleansing: After the initial 48 hours, clean the eyeliner area gently twice a day with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry carefully with a clean, soft cloth.

  • Avoid Touching: Do not rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. Your hands may carry bacteria that can lead to infection.

  • No Makeup: Avoid applying makeup on or around the eyeliner area for at least one week to prevent any contamination and ensure proper healing.

Long-Term Care

  • Moisturising: After the first day, you can start applying a thin layer of healing ointment, such as Vaseline or a recommended aftercare product, to keep the area moist and promote healing. Use a cotton swab to apply and only use a small amount.

  • Sun Protection: Protect the eyes from direct sunlight by wearing sunglasses when outdoors. UV rays can fade the pigment and prolong the healing process.

What to Avoid

  • Avoid Water: Keep the area dry and avoid swimming, saunas, and prolonged showers with hot water until fully healed.

  • Steer Clear of Contact Lenses: If possible, avoid wearing contact lenses for the first 24-48 hours to prevent irritation and pressure on the eyelids.

Monitoring Healing

  • Normal Healing Signs: It's normal to experience some swelling, light bruising, and redness around the treated area. These symptoms should diminish within a few days. Slight flaking or crusting may also appear; do not remove these as they will naturally fall off.

Follow-Up and Touch-Ups

  • Scheduled Follow-Up: A follow-up appointment is typically necessary about 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure. This session allows the technician to fill in any areas that may have faded and adjust the thickness or shape if needed.

Following these guidelines can help ensure a smooth recovery and maintain the results of your micropigmentation eyeliner. Always follow the specific advice given by your technician, as individual aftercare instructions may vary. If you notice any signs of infection or if you experience significant discomfort, contact your technician or seek medical attention immediately.
